Strong heat resistance: Can get exposed to temperatures between roughly -20°C and 120°C. It is mostly fine for use in a microwave (however, you should verify the bowl's markings and make sure that there are no metal rims) and is able to hold extremely hot food without deforming.
Great chemical resistance: Resistant to acids, alkalis, and most oils; PP plastic rarely reacts with such food ingredients as vinegar, oil, or lemon juice, and so it is unlikely that it releases harmful substances.
Safe and non-toxic: Food-grade PP plastic does not contain bisphenol A (BPA), which is considered among the safest plastics for food contact, and complies with food contact material standards in most countries.
Good mechanical strength: It is a bit softer than solid plastics but still has some strength and it also has a much better resistance to impact and bending than the brittle plastics such as PS (polystyrene) which makes it less likely to shatter.
Light and cost-efficient: Being of a low density (about 0.9–0.92 g/cm³), it weighs much less than glass and ceramic bowls, which is why it is good for carrying out, and the costs of running production on a large scale are quite low.
Simple to handle and mould: It is possible to produce it in practically any color and shape by means of injection moulding, thermoplastic forming, etc. Besides, the walls of the bowl can be made thin, and patterns can also be printed on the surface.

FAQ
1: Can I use this bowl in a microwave?Answer: Yes. It is safe for microwave short-term (1-2 minutes) heating on the medium-low level only. PP (Polypropylene) has a heat resistance of about 120°C, which makes it a suitable material for using in a microwave. However, please observe the following points:
-One should not heat food with a very high content of oil or sugar in the microwave since it can cause localised high heating and deformation of the container.
-The lid should be removed during heating because most lids are not made of PP.
-Do not put this container in the oven or on an open flame.
2: Can I use it again? How hot can the food be?A: Sure. You can wash the bowl and use it several times. However, it is not advisable to use it long-term (disposable ones, besides food-grade PP bowls, have a weaker design in terms of thickness and resistance to ageing).
The recommended temperature range is -20°C to 120°C (so it can be used to contain hot soup or porridge);
It is unable to hold oil at temperatures above 120°C or keep acidic or oily foods in contact for several days.
3: Is it friendly to the environment? What is the right way to dispose of it?A: PP plastic bowls are recyclable (look for recycling sign ♷, number 5).
Some of the environmental advantages of PP are the fact that it is non-toxic and odourless; it can be recycled and converted into pellets, and some companies even use recycled food-grade material.
Follow the proper disposal procedure: a quick rinse is a wise thing to do (to minimise food contamination) and then put it in the ‘recycling bin’;
In the absence of local recycling facilities, it should be disposed of as general waste (incineration being a lower-carbon option compared to landfill).
