1. Are disposable paper cups suitable for holding hot water? Will they become too hot or lose their form?Absolutely, they are capable of holding hot water. Our paper cups are manufactured using highly safe food-grade paper, accompanied by either a single or double layer of PE coating, and can hold temperatures as high as 100°C.
On the other hand, the single-layer cups' outer surface gets heated a lot when they hold boiling water, so it is better to use a cup sleeve; however, double-layer insulated cups are more effective in reducing the heat transfer to your hands.
Please avoid letting them soak for a long period or heating them in a microwave.
2. Are these paper cups safe and biodegradable? Are they in compliance with food contact safety standards?Yes. The products have passed food contact safety tests and are compliant with GB 4806.8-2022 (China) and FDA (US) standards; they do not contain fluorescent whitening agents.
The cup body is made from pure wood pulp paper, with a bio-based PE or PLA (polylactic acid) coating, which is partially biodegradable under industrial composting conditions. We advise disposing of normal PE cups according to the local waste sorting regulations.
